Our IEC Van on Diarrhea Management and Control flagged off in Uttar Pradesh

Save the Children’s Uttar Pradesh State Programme office supported the National Health Mission, Uttar Pradesh in the Intensified Diarrhea Control Fortnight (IDCF) launch yesterday.
At the event, Ms Swati Singh, Minister of State for Family Welfare, UP flagged off Save the Children’s Information Education and Communication (IEC) Van which will be sensitizing the community, mothers, children etc on Diarrhea Management and Control. The hon’ble Minister also inaugurated the ORS and Zinc corner at the Mahila Chikitsalaya, Lucknow.
The IEC van will be traveling around Stop Diarrhea Iniciative project districts of Pilibhit, Balrampur, Srawasti and Bahraich. The van will be sensitizing community about diarrhea management, importance of handwashing and use and preparation of ORS well as importance of Zinc tablets for children in diarrhea control and management.
