Sudarshan Chief Executive Officer
Sudarshan has over three decades of experience in the Development Sector. He is a recognized as a ‘Though Leader’ in development practice and policy and has worked at several reputed organizations such Reliance Foundation, Reliance Life Sciences, Institute of Rural Management Anand and National Dairy Development Board. He has also worked with visionaries like Dr. V Kurien, Shri Mohan Dharia, Shri LC Jain and Shri Mukesh Ambani. Before Save the Children, Sudarshan served as the Secretary General at SOS Children’s Villages of India.
Sudarshan is a believer in participatory processes, collaborative learning and empowering teams and communities to affect transformative change. As Programme Head for Rural Transformation at Reliance Foundation (India’s largest Corporate Philanthropy), he conceptualized, planned and implemented the organization’s flagship rural transformation programme for rural livelihoods with an annual budget of USD 30 million, one of the top three CSR spendings in India. Sudarshan is also an advisor to a group of nine International Universities led by Manchester University for their Community Outreach strategies.
As a part-time farmer, Sudarshan has worked in the hinterlands of Madhya Pradesh to understand the challenges and possible solutions to marginal farming, wherein he engaged as ‘family’ with the entire village community, supporting them on sustainable development initiatives – especially livelihood security.
He is an alumnus of prestigious institutes such as St. Stephen’s College (Delhi), Sardar Patel University (Anand, Gujarat), and Institute of Development Studies (UK).
Sangeeta Narula Director Human Resources
Sangeeta leads the Human Resources department at Save the Children where she looks after talent acquisition, retention and employee nurturing. She is an HR professional with more than 20 years of experience in a multi-cultural work environment. She provides strategic & functional leadership to the team at Save the Children and guides and supports the Business Partner teams in the development and implementation of appropriate human resource strategies along with policies for organizational effectiveness. In 2019, she worked closely with consultants to strategize and implement organization-level restructuring and establish a ‘People Strategy’, in line with the organizational strategy.
Sangeeta also had a fruitful association with the British High Commission, where she worked as a Human Resources Manager and then as a Corporate Services Manager. She spearheaded the Human Resources team of seven people at the British High Commission New Delhi and Deputy High Commissions across India. She ensured the implementation of a consistent recruitment policy to recruit and retain staff as well as achieve high-quality delivery of the British High Commission business objectives. Her role also panned across the segments of Human Resources, Finance and Procurement.

Madhura Kapdi Director Campaigns & Communications
Madhura Kapdi leads Campaigns & Communications at Save the Children. She has over 2 decades of diverse experience in areas that include business development, communications, fundraising, media advocacy and planning. Out of this, she has spent 16 years advancing child rights, WASH and wildlife conservation agendas with reputed non-profits such as CRY, WaterAid, Wildlife Trust of India and Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA). Apart from the development sector, she has worked with Group M, where she was involved in planning for several Unilever brands.
Madhura’s strength lies in delivering deftly on both the communications and fundraising aspects of the NGO sector. She has worked extensively on B2B, retail fundraising, donor management and business analytics. Brand management, developmental communications, media advocacy and campaign management are also her fortes.
Madhura has an MBA with a marketing specialization. Beyond work, her interests include travel, culture, and exploring indigenous solutions.
Yasmin Riaz Director Resource Mobilization
After spending 18 years as a Corporate Sales and Marketing Professional with successful stints across various domains of Software Education, Travel & Tourism and BFSI, Yasmin moved to the social sector in 2011.
Yasmin led SOS Children’s Villages of India for eight years, driving strategy, fundraising, marketing, brand management, PR and crisis communications. Implementing many firsts in the sector, she successfully executed effective strategies to enhance revenue growth and profitability. At the same time, handling crisis communication and PR is also a forte of Yasmin. Fairly well recognised for the fundraising achievements in the sector, Yasmin has mentored and developed various leaders in the sector. Outside the not-for-profit sector, Yasmin has worked with two of the biggest names in the BFSI sector that is Max New York Life Insurance and Future Generali Life Insurance Company.
At Save the Children, Yasmin heads the Resource Mobilization Department, wherein she is responsible for marketing and fundraising activities which encompass Corporate, Institution and Individual Giving verticals.
Anindit Roy Chowdhury Director – Programmes and Policy
Anindit has extensive technical expertise in the areas of Programme Development and Implementation, Grant Administration, Policy Advocacy, Fundraising through forging of strategic partnerships. At Save the Children, Anindit ensures that robust programmes are implemented to address various needs of the most marginalised children in India. Before coming on board as Director – Programmes and Policy at Save the Children, he worked as Programme Manager (Global), Gender Justice and Human Rights at C&A Foundation. At C&A Foundation, he steered the development and management of the investment portfolio of the organization in the field of Gender Justice and Human Rights (focusing on human trafficking, forced and child labour in business supply chains).
Before C&A Foundation, Anindit served as the Director for South Asia in International Planned Parenthood Federation. Here, he took a lead on strategic planning, leadership mentoring, programme implementation, policy advocacy and programme monitoring and evaluation. Anindit has also worked with UN Women, UN International Organisation for Migration and International Youth Foundation.
Anindit has an MSc in Management of Non-Governmental Organizations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK.
Subhashish Neogi Director – Finance, Admin & IT
A Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Company Secretary and an LLB, Subhashish has 25 years of experience of working in various fields of Finance & Accounts including Financial Accounts, Banking & Treasury, Internal Auditing, Cost Accounting, Inventory and Asset Management, Direct and Indirect Taxation, Company Secretarial and Legal matters. He is also adept in conceptualizing and implementing new-age compliance management and accounting solutions, which helps monitor regulatory & internal compliances of an organization, operational efficiency and results in greater savings. He has been associated with organizations such as Steel Authority of India Ltd, Tata Steel Ltd, Reliance Communications Ltd, Ecolab Inc, Jamshedpur Continuous Annealing & Processing Company Private Limited (being a JV between Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation and Tata Steel Ltd), Legasis Services Pvt. Ltd and Spark Advisors & Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd., where he co-founded a digital accounting software intended for shopkeepers, traders, cloth merchants, grocery owners and other micro-enterprises.
He is an alumnus of St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata and St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro Steel City.
