Partnership with Global Citizen India as Core Partners
Save the Children partnered with Global Citizen India as one of the core NGO partners with an aim to amplify children’s agenda within the sustainable development goals. Global Citizen is social action platform for a global generation that wants to solve the world’s biggest challenges. The platform aims to raise awareness about issues, take action on what matters most and join a community committed to social change. The partnership is rooted in the belief that we can end extreme poverty by 2030, because of the collective actions of Global Citizens across the world.
The Global Citizen anchors the Global Citizen Festival as annual high profile event, a culmination gala that brings together musicians, world leaders, celebrities, businesses and champions to celebrate and showcase commitments for collective impact.
In their first ever event in India, Global Citizen Festival on November 19, 2016, Save the Children as a core NGO partner supported the action journeys on Identity for Children, Education and Gender issues, bringing our experience and expertise on children’s rights.
In terms of impact, 21 lakh action taken, ₹ 43,416 cr commitments made, 51.6 cr lives set to be affected

Partnership with Youth Ki Awaaz
Youth Ki Awaaz (YKA) with over 4 million readers, is India's largest, only and award-winning online platform for young people to express themselves on issues of importance. An ever expanding community of contributors, writers, thinkers, filmmakers, and photographers among many others, all find their own unique space on this platform. The partnership between Save the Children and Youth Ki Awaaz hinges on creating a platform for meaningful, sustained and engaging conversations/public engagement on issues affecting children.
Save the Children’s collaboration with Youth Ki Awaaz in the past has been around general election in 2014.
