We at Save the Children are committed to work for the most marginalised children of our society. We take pride in the fact that in 2017, through our various projects in the field of: education, healthcare, child poverty, child protection, humanitarian response and DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction) and Emergency we have been able to reach out to 22.51 lakh children.
We have a very kind family of over 1,44,230 individual supporters, 35 corporate and 38 institutional (National and International) partners who help Save the Children India to reach out the most vulnerable children of India. We have 75 programmes (as of December 2017) running in 19 states of India. We are committed to do whatever it takes to reach out to Every Last Child in need in India. All this is possible for us only because of our supporters who have been a part of our journey to give a better future to children.
You can also join this family and can do your bit to help the most disadvantaged children of India. Together we can help them claim their right to a childhood they can cherish and deserve. We run solely on donations and to sustain our projects and continue setting up more of them, your support is vital.
Any amount donated by you will be utilised by Save the Children to strategise and execute on-ground projects to benefit the most disadvantaged children of India. We ensure that our response is timely and is delivered at an appropriate scale. While we appreciate one-time donations, monthly donations help us plan our programmes better and sustain them for a longer duration.
Even a nominal amount of ₹800 per month will make a big difference in the life of a child in need. This support of yours can help us rescue a child from child labour and send them to school, it can help us ensure a healthy start for a malnourished infant or it can help rescue a girl from early marriage.
How do you make sure that your donated money is actually doing all this?
You can keep a track of our work at all times by following us on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and and Instagram. You will also receive our quarterly newsletter which captures the highlights of our work done in the quarter gone past. If due to any reason, you wish to discontinue your regular monthly donations, you can do it any time through a phone call to our Donor Support helpline.
Save the Children is very transparent with its spends. In 2016-17, we spent 82% of what we got as donations to run our programmes across India.
