A Message from Nandana Sen

Dear friends,
The past 18 months have been catastrophic for so many children in India. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, the lives of children came to a precarious standstill. And nowhere has this crisis hit harder than in my home state, West Bengal.
If the devastating COVID-19 pandemic was not enough, Cyclone Yaas struck the eastern coast at the same time as India battled the deadly Second Wave of Coronavirus. The pandemic and the cyclone left behind a trail of destruction that continues to threaten innocent lives in West Bengal every day.
Having lost one or both parents, children orphaned by the disasters in West Bengal have little to hope for. Cut off from education, healthcare and protection, they stand exposed to many forms of abuse and exploitation, including trafficking, child labour and child marriage.
Will you extend your help to #SaveSupportSecure the most deprived and marginalised children?
Thank you for listening, and do stay safe,
Your contribution will go a long way to protect these vulnerable children when they need it most.
TOGETHER, LET’S TAKE ACTION TODAY
FOR A SAFE TOMORROW.
