Emergency Relief to Cyclone Amphan Victims in India

In May 2020, amidst the coronavirus pandemic, a devastating Cyclone Amphan battered Odisha and West Bengal injuring many, damaging several households, and uprooting electric poles. Save the Children provided humanitarian aid to the victims of Cyclone Amphan, especially to millions of children and their families in low-lying coastal areas where a storm surge and flooding devastated communities that were already coping with COVID-19. In the face of this devastation, Save the Children ensured that the victims have a roof over their head, food to eat, and access to basic healthcare.
