Acknowledging the importance of an identify document for children in street situations, Save the Children has launched a project ‘Surviving the Streets in India:  Providing a Legal Identity’ (#TheInvisibles), which provides street-connected children with a legal identity document. Apart from a legal identity, the intervention aims to help such children enrol in schools and provide them access to healthcare services, skill development, employment opportunities and financial services.

Through this programme, we will be reaching 2,00,000 children in Delhi, Kolkata, Agra, Allahabad, Kanpur, Mughalsarai, Lucknow, Pune, Mumbai and Nashik. The project covers four states: Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and West Bengal and will run for two years - April 2018 to March 2020.
