The program commenced with a welcome note and introduction of the Vishwaas project by Mr. Sanjay Sharma. Deputy Director – Deputy Director – Programme & Policy, West Hub. Mr. K.K. Sharma, District Collector and Magistrate Tonk, Rajasthan launched the SAANS Campaign and Project Vishwaas to fight against Pneumonia with a focus on creating awareness, early diagnosis and provide timely treatment.

Gracing the occasion were Mr.Navneet kumar, CEO Zila Parishad, Dr.Dharmveer Meena, from Department of Women and Child Development, Mr.Shivram Yadav, Chief Development Education Officer, Dr.Naveendra Pathak, Medical Officer District Hospital and Dr. Ashok Yadav, Chief Medical and Health Officer. Also present at the event where public health and hospital managers, representatives from development partners and representatives from various line departments.
From Bal Raksha Bharat Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Deputy Director Programme & Policy , West Hub, the whole Rajasthan State Programme Office team, Dr.O.P. Singh, Head program management (Health & Nutrition) from National Support Office along with members from our National Support O team and project Vishwaas team were present at the event.

Key Notes of Program 

Mr.KK Sharma, District Collector and Magistrate Tonk, Rajasthan)He focused on need to organize an awareness and mobilization campaign in the community and need to sensitise the community so that they can identify the symptoms of pneumonia timely. He also emphasized the importance of providing pneumonia management skill trainings and capacity building for front line workers (ASHA and ANM) for early detection of pneumonia cases in children so that they can save child’s life timely and assured all types of support will be provide during implementation of the project.

Mr.Navneet Kumar –CEO-ZilaParishad- He said, all the departments will coordinate with each other to prevent children from pneumonia and build the capacity of front-line workers and assured all types of support would be provided during implementation of the project. He also emphasized the importance of convergence in this project, and the causes of Pneumonia are interlinked.

Dr.DharmveerMeena–DD, WCD- He focused on capacity building of ASHA and Anganwadi (AAAs) workers. He also highlighted the importance of SBCC in this project as he believes effective IEC and SBCC activities are a must to sensitize the community. He also assured all possible support in the project implementation.

Dr.NaveendraPhatak, PMO -DH-He emphasized that all the grass root workers should know about breathing symptoms of pneumonia and timely refer to hospital for treatment. He also highlighted the importance of capacitating the AAAs on technical aspects related to Pneumonia.

Dr. Ashok Yadav- Chief Medical Health Officer- He emphasized the importance of strengthening the reporting system and providing technical training and capacity building to the FLWs. 
He also gives a lot of emphasis on doing community mobilization in a campaign mode.
Mr.Shivram Yadav, Chief Development Education officer – 
He emphasized the critical role schools play in molding the students. He also highlighted the importance of sensitizing the students in primary and upper primary schools against Pneumonia disease. He also assured all possible support in the project implementation activities. 

Dr. O.P Singh- Head program management (Health & Nutrition)
Has briefed about SAANS Campaign and project Vishwaas and introduced team members engaged in project. It was an extremely successful launch for the Pneumonia management project Vishwaas. As district administration has given full assurance for providing all the possible support for the quality implementation of Program activities.
