Save the Children in India is pleased to announce the appointment of Bidisha Pillai, as the CEO for Bal Raksha Bharat, Save the Children. She takes over from Thomas Chandy. Chairman Harpal Singh whilst commenting on the change said, “We are confident that Bidisha will ably lead the organisation to achieve its ambitious targets for India’s disadvantaged children and build momentum behind our cause. I would also like to thank and acknowledge the contributions of Thomas Chandy to the organisation over the 12 years of his association with us.” Pillai joined Save the Children in 2015, and has had a long innings of over 20 years in the development sector, working with leading NGOs, UN and bi-lateral agencies on children’s and women’s issues/rights.
