E-Mitra: A Social Protection Camp Drive at Doorstep Launched in Banswara Rajasthan

Bal Raksha Bharat Rajasthan State team in collaboration with Banswara District Administration launched an initiative of linking eligible beneficiaries of social protection schemes at the mass level by bringing the required facilities at the doorstep of beneficiaries. Under the Child Rights for Change (CRC 2.0) project, this initiative will bring the e-mitra with all required equipment and facilities at the village and Gram Panchayat level through mobile Social Protection Camp.

Apart from District Administration along with all the relevant the functionaries at block and Gram Panchayat level from various departments like Social Justice and Empowerment, Information Technology, Rural Development, Education, Labour, ICDS etc. are directly involved in making this social protection camp effective. District Collector Ankit Kumar Singh flagged off the Campaign Vehicle and assured that he would monitor the progress directly in close collaboration with Bal Raksha Bharat’s team. At panchayat level, Panchayat Level Child Protection Committee (PLCPC) will use Vulnerability Assessment of Children’s data for identifying and linking them with appropriate social protection schemes. Many eligible people who could not be linked due to lockdown and other reasons last year will now get linked through this novel initiative.

The mobile camp will reach 674 villages of 170 Gram Panchayat of 4 blocks of Banswara district within one and half months. An estimated 6000 families will be linked with one or more social protection schemes, and more than 200 thousand people will be made aware of various social protection schemes through this initiative.
