Children living in the slums of Park Circus and Brace Bridge areas of Kolkata were in for a pleasant surprise when a vehicle loaded with milk packets reached their area on Monday. In these desperate times, when a lot of parents are struggling to provide nutritious food to their children, ITC and Save the Children have collaborated to offer fresh, Vitamin-A fortified milk to children in Kolkata slums and orphanages. On Monday, 520 children were provided milk.

The distribution was conducted by community group members under the leadership of Save the Children’s Child & Youth champions. The Champions have been well-trained on social distancing and other hygiene practices. This service will continue during the entire lockdown period.
