A group of 26 children (15 girls and 11 boys) were felicitated on 18th April our Bihar State Programme Office for their educational achievements. These were children from our intervention areas under Urban Resilience Project and belonged to various slums, they have all successfully cleared the examination of Matric and Intermediate. The most remarkable thing is that all these children were either drop-outs or irregular in school. Despite being slum dwellers and facing all kind of challenges they can successfully able to pursue their education and clear the examinations. Bal Raksha Bharat’s intervention has not only motivated these children to purse higher goals but also nourished a sense of self confidence among these children.
