Early Childhood Care and Education Program for 3-6 years
The project involves capacity building of the anganwadi workers and infrastructure support at select anganwadi centers of Doddaballapur block, Bangalore (Rural). The initiative is supported by PVH Corp.
Conducive Learning Environment for Most Marginal Children
The project caters to 9300+ children from waste picking and other neighboring communities and intends to bring them within the fold of formal education. The approach is to build an ecosystem which fosters learning, care and protection at home and within the community and to strengthen the existing schools and anganwadis accessed by the target community. The project is being implemented in urban slums of Bangaluru and is supported by H&M Foundation.
Protecting Child and Human Rights in the Sugarcane Industry
The project promotes sustainable and fair supply chain for sugar by addressing the issue of child labour. The interventions include direct action with working children to offer them opportunities for schooling and vocational skills, establish community based mechanisms to monitor and prevent child labour and to raise awareness and advocate with institutions, employers, manufacturers, government officials and other stakeholders towards respecting human rights. The project is being implemented in Uttara Kannada District in partnership with Mars Wrigley Confectionery.
