The project aims at improving quality and continuity in a child’s experiences as they transitions from early childhood care and education into the primary grade. All the relevant stakeholders including Anganwadi centers schools, parents, and communities are sensitized to enable each child to start to complete their foundation learning

Early Childhood Development in Emergencies (ECDiE)
The project recognizes that provisioning of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) at home is one of the best response strategies to answer the developmental needs of young children in emergency situation. The project has reached 500 children in the catchment area of 25 target anganwadies. The project promotes early learning module titled ‘Gulmohar’, developed by Save the Children, for use by parents/caregivers at home for experiential skill development among children.

Improved Nutritional Outcome for Children and Women
The project leverages Save the Children’s formal partnerships with NITI Aayog. Save the Children is providing programmatic and technical assistance to sectoral departments (with specific focus on ICDS) for improving nutritional outcomes in two intervention districts of the state. The project aims at strengthening existing public nutrition care, capacity building and behavioral change communication to improve access and quality of nutrition services.

Entails strengthening the capacity of block and district level child protection personnel to work in convergence for timely disposal of protection concerns/cases.
