Here’s what you have to do to make an online donation on the Save the Children website:

- Once you confirm that the enlisted details are correct, you will be taken to a secure payment gateway
- Fill in your credit card details; after which, you will get an immediate confirmation of your donation
- You will also receive an email confirmation with the unique transaction ID of your donation

Are there any tax benefits involved while donating to Save the Children?
Save the Children offers a 50% Income Tax Exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961.
Will you send me an Income Tax Exemption certificate?
Certainly! With regards to online and offline donations, we send a PDF of the donation acknowledgement receipt within 2 weeks and as for offline donations. The Income Tax Exemption Certificate (80G) in prescribed form as per the new Income Tax Rules will be furnished to the donors on or before 31st May, immediately following the financial year in which the donation is received, which will entitle donors to claim income tax exemption for the donation made. Both of these receipts are valid for residents in India only. As per the Indian Income Tax Authority Rule, a donor is required to add PAN number in case the donor wishes to receive the Donation Acknowledgement Receipt. What if I want to discontinue my monthly contributions that are directly debited from my bank account?
You can discontinue your monthly contribution to Save the Children.

Please tell me more about Save the Children’s partnership with third-party vendors and agencies to raise funds.
To raise funds, we send direct appeals, updates via snail mail, and email. We also use other avenues like face-to-face marketing and telemarketing to reach out to several individuals. Save the Children partners with third-party agencies to support the endeavour of raising funds.
Each representative/DSA (Direct Sales Agent) from the agencies should be able to provide the following:
- An identification card stating clearly that he/she is a Save the Children representative
- The card will also carry the Save the Children logo and contact details of our offices
- The relevant Save the Children literature
The representatives are not authorized to collect/ ask for / accept any cash donations for Save the Children. Only a cheque or Demand Draft in favour of Bal Raksha Bharat or Save the Children can be accepted by them.
