Role & responsibilities:

Resource Mobilisation Strategy

  • Lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive resource mobilisation strategy, including regular reporting on the strategy goals and benchmarks.
  • Disseminate strategy to key stakeholders including the Board
  • Develop implementation plans for the strategy along with metrics and targets
  • Ensure adherence to strategy

Resource Generation

  • Ensure financial sustainability of the organisation
  • Ensure achievement of financial targets across key donor segments, individual giving, corporates, institutions and Major donors/ HNIs
  • Develop and track key performance indicators on regular basis
  • Explore and develop new fundraising initiatives
  • Work in collaboration with the Director of Programmes and Policy to achieve shared goals for mobilizing resources from institutional and corporate donors within India and through Save the Children members globally
 
  • Ensure donor management and servicing norms
  • Management of backend individual donor support and communication system
  • Ensure development and adherence to donor communication and reporting
  • Create framework to ensure adherence to donor contracts
  • Management of Save the Children member engagement in relation to raising funds from donors in member countries
  • Donor Relationship Management with corporate and institutional donors within India​

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Continuously review, as part of the Senior Management Team, the organisational strategy and direction and ensure updation of policies, procedures and structures align with organisation’s goals.
  • Co-ordination and collaboration within and across teams, and to build team spirit and morale
  • Foster an environment of learning, respect and ownership in the organisation. Create supporting mechanisms and structures to support it.
  • Quarterly reporting to the Board through its Finance and Resource Mobilisation sub-committee


Global Engagements

  • Active participation in various Save the Children global forums on Fundraising
  • Active engagement with Save the Children members across the world and Save the children International


Resources Managed / Line Management responsibility:

  • Lead a high-performing team of senior direct reports (Heads of individual giving, Corporate Partnerships,Institutional Partnerships, new business development) and extended Resource Mobilisation team. (This team structure may be re-organised in light of 2019 – 2021 organisational strategy)
  • Actively ensure that RM staff contribute to organisational policies in order to optimize Resource Mobilisation, and that team leaders and members understand and embrace policies originating from otherfunctions (e.g. Finance).
  • Actively promote regular communications to ensure a culture of transparency that lives our values.
  • Ensure professional development and succession plans are in place within RM teams to improve skills and motivate performance.
