Save the Children’s internship scheme aims to offer a group of outstanding post-graduate students from universities in India and across the globe the opportunity to gain insight into the organisation’s work.

Internships can take place at the Head Office in Delhi or across any of the 9 State Programme Offices in India (Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi and Tamil Nadu). All internship assignments will vary in terms of content and length according to the availability and academic requirements of the intern, as well as the needs of organisation.

Every year a limited number of places for internships are available. Interns will be selected on a competitive basis from the pool of applications received. Relevant applications with Masters Degree or equivalent qualifications, preferably in a development, legal, education, health or equivalent field (political sciences, economics etc), with strong background in research, analytical and writing skills will be considered. We look for self-starters with a passionate commitment to fight injustice and help some of the world’s most marginalised children realise their rights and who will thrive working in a large team.

Internship positions are unremunerated. Save the Children in India will offer safe and comfortable accommodation in a staff guest house or equivalent, and a small daily stipend to cover food and taxis.
