A tribal girl from Odisha, Jhulima Mallick, was with awarded the prestigious Unicef-sponsored V Award at the UN House in New Delhi. The 22-year-old brought laurels to the state for her efforts to end child marriage. She was also acknowledged for promoting education among girls in her area.

Jhulima , from Bandudi village under Khajuripada block of Kandhamal district, was the only one representing Odisha among the 10 selected from all over the nation. To read more click here.
