Watch this documentary developed by the Nagaraju, a teacher in a Government school in Anjalapuram village in Andhra Pradesh. Anjalapuram – one the intervention villages under our project on Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience Building (supported by Nokia). Nagaraju is a champion! With his efforts, he has made this village 100% Child Labour- and Child Marriage-free and has ensured zero school dropouts. He was supported by Save the Children and to build resilience among all children of the village. Children of these schools are now aware and capable of conducting risk mapping and also utilizing technology for being better prepared for dealing with potential hazards. Mr. Nagaraju has been awarded for his efforts by the District Education Officer twice and also by the Commission of School Education. Save the Children appreciates and lauds the efforts of heroes like Nagaraju!
