Bal Raksha Bharat has been relentlessly working to implement a gender-equal environment in educational institutions around the country. Specifically in Rajasthan, we’ve been closely working with government-run Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) across the state to advocate for and implement strategies to achieve holistic learning and development of girls.

To make our vision a reality and create a welcoming learning environment for girl education, we have entered into a 4-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan Council of School Education (RCScE). As per the MoU, Bal Raksha Bharat can now implement its ‘HuB and Spoke Models’ to promote the vision of girl education across the state of Rajasthan.

The positive findings, best practices and achievements from all the work which been accomplished in KGBVs will be replicated in 196 Elementary and Secondary Schools across the state and 49 KGBVs across seven districts of Rajasthan.

Under the MoU, the primary focus remains on the transition from Elementary to Secondary Schools and inculcating a conducive environment for fostering girl education in the state. The partnership is directed towards improving learning outcomes for girls through the following activities: onsite and offsite academic support to girls, capacity building of teachers on gender-sensitive classroom transactions, promotion of project-based learning, life-skill education, alumni meets, career counselling sessions and theatre & sports workshops.

We’re determined to do whatever it takes Looking forward to the road ahead, where girls can finally leap for their dreams.
