It was a grand launch of our flagship study report “WINGS 2018: Perceptions of girl’s safety in public spaces” in presence of the Honourable Minister, Women and Child Welfare, Govt. of Maharashtra, Smt. Pankaja Munde, Honourable Secretary, Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights; Smt Seema Vyas, Honourable Chairperson, Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Mr. Pravin Ghuge, Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development, Maharashtra, Ms Vinita Ved Singhal; Director, Rajmata Jijau Mother-child Health & Nutrition Mission, Women & Child Development Department, Mrs Suprabha Agarwal; General Manager, Save the Children Maharashtra, Mr Sanjay Sharma; General Manager; Research, Save the Children, Dr. Sonali Mukherjee and Child Champions, Ms Saleha Khan and Ms Manisha Kamblee.
The launch was followed by a high level panel discussion where people from different sectors were present on the panel. The panellists were Ms Kalpana Unadkat, Chairperson CII Chairperson, Dr. Nehaal Mayur, Representative to United Nations Department for Public Information at UN Head Quarter, New York and a focal point for Inter-agency Network on Social Development at UN; Mr. Parveen Singh, Director Monitoring & Evaluation, Arpan; Mr Sanjay Sharma, GM-Maharashtra, Save the Children and, Mr Krishna Kumar, Director of SIDR Solutions and Technology Pvt. Ltd. The panel discussion was led by Ms Pragya Vats, GM- Campaigns, Save the Children.
Honourable Minister, Women and Child Welfare, Govt. of Maharashtra, Smt.
