Chief Executive Officer

Bidisha has over 15 years of experience as a development communications and policy specialist working on a range of social issues which include child rights, women’s empowerment, food and nutrition security, drugs and HIV prevention and Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) for development. She started her career in the Banking and Financial sector and moved on to the development world working with organizations such as CRY, Cathedral Relief Service, One World South Asia, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Department for International Development (DFID), Government of UK among others.

Prior to joining Save the Children, Bidisha was working as the Head of Strategy and Communications at DFID India where she developed and led a successful policy communications and stakeholder engagement strategy. Bidisha has a Masters in Sociology and her areas of interest include music, theatre and travelling.

Bidisha.jpgAnindit Roy Chowdhury
Director - Programmes & Policy

Anindit comes with extensive technical expertise and leadership experience (more than two decades) in the areas of Programme Development & Implementation, Grant Administration, Policy Advocacy, Fundraising and Partnership Building. Before coming on board as Director – Programmes, Policy and Impact at Save the Children | India, he worked as Programme Manager (Global), Gender Justice and Human Rights at C&A Foundation aka Laudes Foundation.  At C&A Foundation, he steered the development and management of the investment portfolio of the organization in the area of Gender Justice and Human Rights (focusing on human trafficking, forced and child labour, as well as Ending Violence against Women in the apparel supply chain). 

Prior to C&A Foundation, Anindit served as the Director of International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), South Asia. At IPPF, he took a lead on strategic planning, leadership mentoring at country level, programme implementation, policy-advocacy and monitoring and programme evaluation. Anindit has also had enriching stints with UN Women (UNIFEM to start with), UN IOM (International Organisation for Migration) and International Youth Foundation (IYF).

Anindit has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) from the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in London, UK.

Director - Campaigns & Communication

Madhura Kapdi leads Campaigns & Communication at Save the Children India. She has over two decades of diverse experience in areas which includes business development, communications, fundraising, media advocacy and planning. Sixteen years of these advancing the child rights, WASH and wildlife conservation agenda with reputed non-profits such as CRY, WaterAid, Wildlife Trust of India and Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA). Outside the development sector, she has worked with Group M, involved in planning for Unilever brands.
 
Madhura’s strength lies in delivering deftly on both the Communications and Fundraising aspects of the NGO sector. She has worked extensively on B2B, retail fundraising, donor management and business analytics. Brand management, developmental communications, media advocacy and campaign management, are also her fortes.
 
Madhura is an MBA with a marketing specialisation. Beyond work, her interests extend to travel, culture and exploring indigenous solutions.

Director - Human Resources

As Director for Human Resources function, Sangeeta Narula leads the People practices at Save the Children. The objective of the function is to provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes on delivering with quality and driving productivity and standards, goal attainment. She along with her team look after talent acquisition, retention and employee nurturing through ongoing development of a superior workforce. 
 
As an HR professional, Sangeeta carries more than 20 years of experience in a multi-cultural work environment. She provides strategic and functional leadership to the team at Save the Children, guides and supports the teams in development and implementation of appropriate human resource strategies and practices along with policies for organizational effectiveness. In 2019, she worked closely with consultants to strategize and implement organization-level restructuring and established a ‘People Strategy’, in line with the broader organizational strategy.
 
Sangeeta has also had a fruitful association with the British High Commission where she has worked in the capacities of Human Resources Manager and then moved to take on a larger role as Corporate Services Manager. She spearheaded Human Resources team of seven staff at British High Commission, New Delhi and Deputy High Commissions across India. She ensured implementation of a consistent recruitment policy to recruit and retain staff and achieve high quality delivery of British High Commission business objectives. Her role also panned across the segments of Finance and Procurement.
 
A strong believer in the power of positive thinking, Sangeeta is an experienced multi-tasker in the development sector.

Director - Finance

Subhashish comes with 23 years of robust experience in the areas of Accountancy, Auditing, Inventory Management, Credit Management, Direct and Indirect Taxation, Company Secretarial and Legal matters. He has worked with organisations such as Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Tata Steel Limited, Reliance Communications Limited, Nalco Water India Limited, Jamshedpur Continuous Annealing and Processing Co. Pvt. Ltd. and Legasis Services Pvt. Ltd. He has rich expertise in conceptualising and implementing new-age compliance, auditing, taxation and accounting solutions which have helped improve operational efficiency and achieve higher cost-saving.

Subhashish was most recently associated with Spark Advisors and Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. where he co-founded a digital billing software meant for shopkeepers, traders, cloth merchants, grocery owners and other small-time businessmen. The idea was shortlisted by the screening committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for pitching to investors and recognised by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry under the Startup India programme. Subhashish is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant, Company Secretary and an LLB.

Director – Resource Mobilization

After spending 18 years as a Corporate Sales and Marketing professional with successful stints across the domains of Software Education, Travel & Tourism and BFSI, Yasmin moved to the social sector in 2011.

Yasmin worked in a leadership role at SOS Children’s Villages of India for eight years, driving Strategy, Fundraising, Marketing, Brand Management, PR and Crisis Communications. Implementing many firsts in the sector, she successfully executed effective strategies to enhance revenue growth and profitability. At the same time, handling crisis communication and PR is also a forte of Yasmin. Well recognised for her fundraising achievements, Yasmin has mentored and developed various leaders in the sector. Outside the not-for-profit sector, she has worked with two of the biggest names in the BFSI sector: Max New York Life Insurance and Future Generali Life Insurance Company.
 
At Save the Children, Yasmin heads the Resource Mobilization department wherein she is responsible for marketing and fundraising activities, which encompass Corporate, Institution and Individual Giving verticals.
