Deepak Kapoor –
Chairperson of the Governing Council
Deepak Kapoor is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) as well as a Member of the Institute of Certified Fraud Examiners, USA. He has worked with PwC for over 38 years. Mr. Kapoor has diverse experience in the fields of accounting, audit, mergers and acquisitions, valuations, negotiations, forensics, and other management advisory fields. He has also served as the Chairman of PwC India Foundation, who has been instrumental in undertaking and fulfilling major rehabilitation work in Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Chennai, and Nepal.
Rajiv Kapur, Treasurer of the Governing Council, has been an international banker for over 20 years with assignments in multi-cultural environments in India, Asia, and the USA. He is also the founder of InvesTech. He has worked as the Managing Director of the Asia Financial Institutions Group at Bank of America. His expertise and field of experience include corporate banking, restructuring, mergers and acquisition advisory services, financial advisory assignments, asset securitization, capital markets, working capital funding, syndication and structured debt financing, trade finance, capital markets, and credit risk management.
Harpal Singh has an experience of over 40 years in the corporate sector, where he spent the last decade engaging with the non-profit sector. Beginning his career with Tata Administrative Service, he rose to senior positions with the Tata, Birla, and Mahindra group of companies. He was Chairman and Managing Director of Fortis Healthcare Limited and SRL Diagnostics Ltd. He currently holds senior board level positions in a few National and International organizations. Mr. Singh is the Director of Impact Projects Private Ltd and was the Non-Executive Chairman of Ranbaxy.
Continuing his association with school education for over 30 years, he has acted as the Board member of some of India’s most renowned schools in India. like The Doon School, The Scindia School, The Shriram School, The Yadavindra Public Schools, and Salwan Public Schools. He was a member of the National Round Table on School Education, the Executive Committee and the Governing Council of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), the Board of the Delhi Red Cross Society, the Board of Governors of NIIT University, the India-UK Round Table and India-US Strategic dialogue, the Board of the Wadhwani Initiative for Sustainable Health (WISH), and the Board of Governors of IIT, Indore. He is a Trustee of the Indian National Association for the Club of Rome.
Mr. Singh is the Founder Chairman of the Nanhi Chhaan Foundation. Previously, he also acted as the Chairman of Save the Children India, and a Board Member and Vice-Chair on the global board of Save the Children International, UK. Through his own NGO, the Nanhi Chhaan Foundation, he focuses on the girl child, on the environment, and on inter-faith harmony.
An alumnus of The Doon School and a (Hons.) Graduate in Economics from St. Stephens College, New Delhi, Mr. Singh also completed A B.S. in Economics and has a Masters in Public Affairs from the California State University at Hayward (C.S.C.H.), California, U.S.A.
Mirai Chatterjee is the Director of Social Security at Self-Employed Women’s Association, (SEWA), heading the Health Care, Child Care, and Insurance programmes. Currently, she acts as the Chairperson of the National Insurance VimoSEWA Co-operative Ltd. and is actively involved with the Lok Swasthya Health Co-operative, which is promoted by SEWA. She joined SEWA in 1984 as the General Secretary after its Founder, Ela Bhatt.
Ms. Chatterjee serves on the Boards of several organizations including the Friends of Women’s World Banking (FWWB), the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), and the Health Action Partnership International (HAPI). She was the advisor to the National Commission for Enterprises in the unorganized sector and is in the Advisory Group of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). Previously, she was also a Commissioner in the World Health Organization’s Commission on the Social Determinants of Health.
Swaroop Sampat Rawal
Talented actress, former Miss India, and noted child rights activist, Swaroop Sampat Rawal is a superlative educational researcher and trainer. She travels across India to conduct workshops for teachers facilitating a general comprehension of life skills and drama in education. Selected by the former Gujarat Chief Minister to head an educational programme in the state, she has been training primary school teachers for the last seven years.

Dr. S.Y. Quraishi
Former Chief Election Commissioner of India, Dr. S.Y. Quraishi has featured in The Indian Express list of the 100 Most Powerful Indians in 2011 and 2012. He has served the Government of India and has received several prestigious awards in recognition of his contribution to civil society and human development issues.
Mr. Quraishi has made significant contributions to policy and programme development in the health, woman, and child development sector. He is an active promoter of youth development and founded the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development at Sriperumbudur (TN).
Vice-Chairperson of the Apollo Hospitals Group, Preetha Reddy, is widely recognized for her contributions to making high-quality healthcare accessible to millions across the country. She is also the Managing Trustee of the Apollo Hospitals Education Trust.
Additionally, Ms. Reddy works with industry bodies and the government to further policy decisions on healthcare. She was a Founding Member of the Quality Council of India, who guided teams from Apollo Hospitals and the government to establish the NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers). Committed to social causes and service, Ms. Reddy has lead and directed several social projects like SACHi (Save a Child’s Heart Initiative) that support diagnostics and treatment of underprivileged children suffering from congenital heart diseases.

Senior Partner at DMD Advocates, Rashi Dhir heads the Firm’s Corporate Group. With over 30 years of experience in corporate, cross-border transactions and international taxation, he advises international and domestic clients, including several Fortune 100, 500, and 1000 companies. He has also advised several non-profit organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, US-India Business Council (USIBC), US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), and USIN Foundation.
Besides being a business lawyer, Mr. Dhir is also an entrepreneur. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of USIN Foundation and has served as a board member for several prominent corporates in the areas of healthcare, finance, and technology in India and in the US. Before the Firm, he worked in New York for more than 15 years, first as a senior member of the Global Financial Products Group in Clifford Chance and then as Managing Director and General Counsel for leading financial institutions.
Mr. Dhir earned his LL.M. from Harvard Law School (Boston), the US and his LL.B. from the University of Delhi, India.
Stuti Narain Kacker
An Indian Administrative Service officer (1978 U.P. Cadre), Stuti Narain Kacker is the former Chairperson of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR). She earned an M. Phil in Social Sciences and has over 39 years of experience in Public Administration. In the past, she held important positions such as of District Magistrate of Ghazipur, Divisional Commissioner of Jhansi, Secretary to Government of Uttar Pradesh, Director of Sugar Development Fund, Joint/Addl. Secretary of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and Director of Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) among others. She has also authored numerous articles and research papers.
Besides working in India, she also has a rich background of association with international bodies like Voluntary Service Overseas, Sight Savers, International Committee of the Red Cross, World Health Organization, Leprosy Mission India, Handicapped International, UNESCO, ICPE Slovenia, UNICEF, World Food Programme, World Bank, CARE, and NORAD.
Vasvi Bharat Ram
Joint Vice Chairperson of The Shri Ram Schools in Delhi NCR, Vasvi Bharat Ram is a member of the Executive Committee of The Shri Ram Schools. She played a pivotal role in setting up The Shri Ram Millennium Schools in the National Capital Region and now serves as a member on the Management Committee of the schools. She was also the President of FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), the women’s wing of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
