Kunal Kapoor comes to town to support EVERY ONE

 Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor comes to town to support Save the Children’s campaign to stop needless child deaths

 

New Delhi, 16th July, 2010:  Famous Bollywood Actor and lead of film 'Lamhaa', Kunal Kapoor lends his support to the cause of child survival for NGO ‘Save the Chilren’ at an event in New Delhi. Kunal Kapoor, cause ambassador for Save the Children’s campaign to tackle child mortality called EVERY ONE was present at DT Cinemas, Saket to share a few words on his association with the cause. Also present at occasion Thomas Chandy, CEO, Save the Children along with Anant Verma, Director & Business Head, DT Cinemas Limited.
 
Commenting on the occasion of the new release, KunaI Kapoor said “This campaign is aimed at cutting preventable deaths of children in our country. When I was approached by Save the Children, I didn’t have to think whether or not, the EVERY ONE campaign is about what each of us can do as an individual to contribute to the cause and I am happy to part of such a nable cause”.
 
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Thomas Chandy, CEO, Save the Children, said “We want to inspire a cross sector movement for change. Our ambition is to save children’s lives and we cannot do this alone. We need to draw together – artists, businesses, media, government and public for children we work for. There is a role for EVERY ONE in this collective responsibility to build an unstoppable momentum for lasting change for children”.
 
Mr. Anant Verma, Director & Business Head, DT Cinemas Limited added, “We are pleased topartner with Save the Children for such noble cause. Entertainment plays a significant role in any society shaping public engagement and we are using this platform to promote and endorse the cause”.
Nearly 2 million young children and newborn babies die in India every year needlessly from conditions that are easily preventable and treatable – highest anywhere in the world.
