We are currently looking for;
Director of Programme
Save the Children currently works in 10 states of India, delivering a wide range of projects in health and nutrition, child protection, education, and disaster risk reduction. Save the Children India is committed to responding to all new major emergencies in India, as they arise.
Altogether, our programme currently reaches more than 600,000 children directly, and our close collaboration with Government line ministries and service providers gives us the potential to reach far greater numbers. Our programme work contributes to and is strengthened by robust policy analysis, high-level advocacy at state and national level, and a significant media profile.
The Director of Programmes is a key member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for all elements of programme strategy and implementation. The Programmes department is currently the largest department by both budget and headcount in Save the Children.
Much of the growth of Save the Children’s first two years as an independent organization in India has been driven by successful institutional or grant fundraising. Over two years, we have received over 100 grants, an average of one new grant every week.
Save the Children enjoys contractual partnerships and close direct working relationships in India with key donor institutions - DfID, the EU, ECHO, US AID and major UN agencies. We compliment this with a large portfolio of grants raised by Save the Children International partners. Both sets of institutions fall under the sphere of responsibility of this position.
The Head of Institutional Partnerships is a new position, and reflects the enormous importance that these relationships have on our ability to reach ever larger numbers of children in India, and on Save the Children’s future growth as a national movement. The position reports to the Director of Resource Mobilisation, but enjoys close working relationships and constant interaction with staff from other departments, notably the Programme Team, at both national and state level and the CEO.
Manager- Brand & Communications
To synergise, coordinate and focus all communication activities towards enhancing the recognition & reinforcing the respect of the Save the Children brand in line with Save the Children’s vision, mission and values.

Since it’s establishment as a separate independent entity in 2008, Save the Children has made rapid strides and today counts as one of the leading NGOs in the country. As a brand, Save the Children is poised to replicate some of its global success and it is in that context that the Manager – Brand & Communications will operate.
